PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact container which can sufficiently ensure the amount of a cover body's push up with a very short operation stroke of a push piece and can unlock the engagement with a container body. SOLUTION: A push piece 2 is placed movably backward and forward inside a concave part 5 of a container body 1 and a projecting section 7 is formed on the concave 5. The push piece is extended backward through a flexible section 11 from the back side of a pressing front wall 2a to form an actuation piece 8 in an integrated manner which the top side abuts against an ungual piece 14 and the bottom side abuts against the projecting section. At least either the top side of the actuation piece or the ungual piece serves as a first tilted surface 8a and both the bottom side of the actuation piece and the projecting section form a pair of second tilted surfaces 7a, 8b. The end part of the flexible section of the second tilted surface of the actuation piece serves as a corner section 8c that gradually raises the actuation piece against the projecting section in accordance with the flexible deformation of the flexible section.
