PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air leakage-preventing method for effectively preventing leakage of air into a gasification furnace, a gasification apparatus for preventing leakage of air into the gasification furnace, and a waste gasification power generation system equipped with the gasification apparatus. SOLUTION: In the method for preventing leakage of air into the gasification furnace 30 in the gasification apparatus 10 equipped with a waste-receiving part 11, the gasification furnace 30 for gasifying the waste and a pressure-adjusting part 13 arranged between the receiving part 11 and the gasification furnace 30, the pressure P1 of the receiving part 11, the pressure P2 of the pressure-adjusting part 13 and the pressure P3 of the gasification furnace 30 are controlled so that they satisfy the relationship: P1>P2≥P3.
