PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam cooking device capable of quickening rise of excessively superheated steam and shortening cooking time. SOLUTION: This steam cooking device is provided with the steam generator for generating steam, a steam temperature raising device for raising temperature of steam from the steam generator, and a heating chamber for heating an object to be heated by the steam supplied from the steam temperature raising device. The stem generator has a pot 41 in which water is supplied, a heater 42 arranged in the pot 41, a water level sensor 43 arranged in the pot 41, and a partition plate 47 for partitioning between the water level sensor 43 and the heater 42. Height from the lowermost part of the heater 42 to an upper end of the partition plate 47 is double or more height from the lowermost part of the heater 42 to upper limit of water level.
