PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the pressure pulsation in a crank chamber in accordance with the operating condition, for example, even when the engine speed fluctuates. SOLUTION: An internal-combustion engine is equipped with an engine operating condition sensing means 18, 19, 20 to sense the operating condition, a pressure buffer device 9 having a pressure buffer chamber 12 of resonator type having communication with the crank chamber, and a pressure buffer chamber capacity changing means 20 to change the capacity of the pressure buffer chamber in accordance with the operating condition sensed by the sensing means. This internal-combustion engine absorbs and suppresses the pressure pulsation in the crank chamber over a wider range of engine speed by changing the capacity of the pressure buffer chamber by the pressure buffer chamber capacity changing means in response to the engine speed.
