PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with a hand shake correcting function including a means for performing control so that the hand shake correcting function does not malfunction, by detecting vibration generated from a recording device, the imaging apparatus having the recording device. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus with the hand shake correcting function is provided with: a recording means for recording an image on a prescribed recording medium; a detecting means for detecting a hand shake in the imaging apparatus with the use of the movement vector of a hand shake detecting sensor or of an imaging device; a hand shake discriminating means for discriminating the stationary state and hand shake state of the imaging apparatus from hand shake information which is obtained by the detecting means, with the use of a prescribed threshold; and a correcting means for correcting the blur of the image owing to the hand shake of the imaging apparatus, based on a signal obtained by the hand shake discriminating means.
