PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanging type container which can store a volatile substance inside, can be placed on something in use other than the use of hanging it to effectively demonstrate the effect of the stored substance, store a hanging part without inconveniently protruding it if unnecessary, does not occupy a large space, and turn a hook at an arbitrary rotational angle according to the situation of a rod in a hanging use. SOLUTION: The container comprises a container body 2 which is supported in an erectable manner by a lower edge of a flange 5 which is outwardly protruded from a front opening a and a rear edge of a bottom wall 6 descending backwardly from a lower edge of the opening a, and a lid 3 to close the opening having window holes 17 for volatilization, and a hook 4 is turnably and collapsibly erected on an upper end thereof.
