PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective process for separation of phosphoric acid and a hydrolysate of lignocellulose from phosphoric acid solution containing a hydrolysate prepared by phosphoric acid hydrolysis of lignocellulose, and a process capable of low cost mass production of glucose from lignocellulose. SOLUTION: A phosphoric acid solution prepared by hydrolysis of lignocellulose with concentrated phosphoric acid is separated into phosphoric acid and lignocellulose using an anion exchange resin packed column. The hydrolysate of lignocellulose obtained by the above mentioned process is hydrolyzed with aβ-glucosidase to give glucose. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
