<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient electronic toll collection system capable of displaying the total of tolls on each required date. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic toll collection system includes an ETC unit 5 provided on a vehicle 2 for collecting the tolls needed for passage, by communicating with a roadside radio device 4 provided on a toll road 1. The ETC unit 5 is provided with an EEPROM 12 for storing tolls and an accumulating process part 11b that accumulates the daily tolls stored in the EEPROM 12.
