PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building interior material having high toughness, not damaged at the time of handling, capable of being nailed and having a nail retaining force. SOLUTION: The non-uniform bubbles in the structure are removed by vacuum degassing, and the bending strength and elastic capacity of the building interior material are enhanced by orienting and arranging crystal particles by extrusion molding. The building interior material has a target strength of 40 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>or higher and a specific gravity of 1.3 or below by a homogenous void structure. A gypsum cured body is a macro-porous body of 3,000Å-10μm almost approximate to diatomaceous earth and has a void size almost same to that of a magnesia cement cured body and, by combining them, a board with high density (bulk specific gravity of about 1.3) is obtained.
