PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce size, increase speed and easily manufacture a motor case. SOLUTION: A sheet-shutter driving device has a DC brushless motor 1, first and second rotating shafts 6a and 6b projected from the motor 1 to both sides, the motor case 5 in which the motor 1 is housed, a brake case 8 and a planetary speed reducer 2. The brake case 8 has a second opening, in which an electromagnetic brake 3 is housed, and has a flange for connecting a shutter case at an end section on the opening side while having a diameter-reduced section having an outside diameter smaller than that of the opening side, in a peripheral wall section positioned on the reverse side to the opening side. The planetary speed reducer 2 is arranged on the reverse side to the motor 1 through the bottom wall of the motor case 5, is connected to the first rotating shaft 6a and decelerates the rotation of the motor 1 and transmits the rotation to a drum. The peripheral wall of the motor case 5 is fitted and fixed so as to be superposed to the brake case 8 along the external surface of the diameter-reduced section. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
