PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently record data on a recording medium while maintaining gemination and concentrated arrangement of management information indicating a recording position of a file. SOLUTION: An inner peripheral side FS recording region 41, a file recording region 42, and an outer peripheral side FS recording region 42 are provided in a disk in this order from the inner peripheral side. USB 51, MB 52, and management information 53 are recorded on the inner peripheral side FS recording region 41, and these are updated by round recording whenever a file of video data, audio data, or the like of a clip unit is recorded on the file recording region 42. The same fs61 as fs53 recorded on the inner peripheral side FS recording region 41 is recorded on the outer peripheral side FS recording region 42.
