PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of fixing a fixed contact on a fixed contact terminal board used for the manufacture of an electromagnetic relay hardly generating difference in levels between an end face of a foot part of the fixed contact and a back face of the fixed contact terminal board. SOLUTION: A through hole 2, of which, a hole diameter at a front surface 8 side is smaller than that at a back surface 9 side is formed on the fixed contact terminal board 1. A material for contact 4 is composed of a foot part forming part 5 having a shape corresponding to that of the through hole 2, and a head part forming part 6 extended from the foot forming part 5, having a cross section shape corresponding to that of the through hole 2 formed at the front surface 8 side of the fixed terminal board 1. The head part forming part 6 of the material for contact 4 is inserted into the through hole 2 on the fixed contact terminal board 1 from the back surface 9 side thereof, and the head part forming part 6 is deformed by caulking the material for contact 4 in a state that the foot part forming part 5 of the material for contact 4 is fitted into the through-hole 2. A fixed contact 10 is fixed on the fixed contact terminal board 1 by forming a head part 11 of the fixed contact 10 at the front surface side 8 of the fixed contact terminal board 1 and by forming a foot part 12 at the back surface 9 side thereof.
