PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which is used for a high-speed electrophotographic apparatus of the short time required during exposure and development, makes mechanical strength, such as flaw resistance and wear resistance, and electrical characteristics compatible with each other, and has excellent repetitive stability. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a support for an image forming system of≤200 msec in the time required during the exposure and the development and a photosensitive layer on the support, wherein the surface layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor contains at least a charge transfer substance and a binder resin; the glass transition temperature on the surface layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor is≥95°C; and the charge transfer rate at field intensity of 2x105V/μm of the photosensitive layer is≥1x10-7cm2/V sec.
