<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening edge section illuminating device for an automobile by which a luminescent display section stands out even under an environment wherein a room lamp or an illuminating apparatus or the like of a parking lot are turned on while the luminescent display section is prevented from becoming offensive to the eyes, and has a high decorative effect, or waste in power consumption is hard to occur. <P>SOLUTION: For this opening edge section illuminating device for the automobile, the opening/closing motion of a door and the turning on/off of a light source 3 are interlocked in such a manner that power may be fed to the light source 3 of the luminescent display section a which is formed on the opening edge section when the door of the automobile is opened, and the feeding of power to the light source 3 may be shut off when the door is closed. The opening edge section illuminating device is constituted in such a manner that when the door is opened, the light source 3 may flicker or change the color only for a specified period of time, and then, the state may be switched to a normal turned on state, alternatively, when the door is opened, the light source 3 may be placed under the normal turned on state only for a specified period of time, and after the specified period of time has passed, the state may be switched to the flickering or color-changing state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
