METHOD FOR DETERMINING WIRELESS LINE QUALITY, AND WIRELESS ACCESS SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless line quality determining method for efficiently controlling the changeover of a modulation system corresponding to wireless line quality at high speed, and to provide a wireless access system. SOLUTION: The wireless line quality determining method of the wireless access system allows bidirectional wireless communication to be performed between a base station and at least one subscriber station, so as to change over the modulation system in response to the wireless line quality between the base station and each subscriber station. When areas which respectively correspond to a plurality of the modulation systems are set in a wireless frame to be used for the bidirectional communication and the modulation system with a multiple value degree which is one-rank higher than the modulation system used for data transmission at present exists, the wireless line quality in the modulation system with the multiple value degree which is one-rank higher than the modulation system at present is determined so as to determine the propriety of changeover into the modulation system with the one-rank higher multiple value degree in response to the determination results.
