PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin display device, such as a small-sized liquid crystal television set, which makes it easy to rotate a stand for adjusting the angle of the television screen and is equipped with the stand capable of securely holding the display device so that the adjusted angle of rotation will not vary and stably holding the support state. SOLUTION: The small-sized liquid crystal television set equipped with the stand for visual angle adjustment which is rotatable and serves as a carrying handle at the back is equipped with the stand 2 whose tip is pointed to be grounded at one point and which is grounded on the breadthwise center line of a television main body 1, a low-torque imparting means which is provided at a rotary shaft part of the stand 2 and generates low-torque resistance when the stand 2 is rotated, a lock mechanism 5 which is provided at the rotary shaft part of the stand 2 and locks the stand 2 at an arbitrary angle of rotation, and an unlock button 6 which is provided on the lock mechanism 5 and unlocks the stand 2.
