ARSENIC ADSORBENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arsenic adsorbent which efficiently adsorbs arsenic (III) and arsenic (V) both present with a low concentration. SOLUTION: The arsenic adsorbent is prepared by dispersing and fixing metal ions in between layer bodies and subjecting the resultant metal composite bodies to an alkali treatment to colloidize all the metal composite bodies or consists of cerium composite bodies prepared by subjecting cerium nitrate to an alkali treatment and fixing the resultant cerium colloid particles in between layer bodies.
