<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape feeder which can perform the detection of a remaining amount of a tape for exchanging a supply reel at appropriate timing by a simple mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: In the tape feeder for supplying a tape T holding electronic components in an electronic component mounting apparatus, the supply reel 9 which stores the tape T in a wound state is rotatably installed in a reel installation section 8, and the reel installation section 8 is rotatably supported on the pivot 8c of a reel holder 7 and is applied with rotation application force by a rotation application mechanism in a direction shown by the arrow. When an amount of the tape T stored in a wound state in the supply reel 9 becomes a prescribed amount or less, the reel installation section 8 is turned on the pivot 8c by the rotation application force to transfer the supply reel 9 from a tape supplying position to a tape run-out alarming position. By this structure, an operator can be clearly informed of the tape run-out, and the detection of a remaining amount of tape for exchanging the supply reel 9 at appropriate timing can be performed by a simple mechanism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
