PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the clogging of water passing holes (water collecting holes), construct a storage tank without being limited by circumferences on the ground, and increase the buried distance of a jacking pipe. SOLUTION: This rain water storage tank comprises a main storage tank 1 and auxiliary storage tanks 3 buried in the ground. The water collecting holes 4 of the auxiliary storage tanks 3 are laterally formed in the walls thereof to prevent the water collecting holes 4 from being clogged by sediments present around the walls of the tanks, and water can be efficiently collected. Also, since the main storage tank 1 is connected to the auxiliary storage tanks 3 through the jacking pipe 5 with no hole not using an open cut method, the rain water tank can be constructed without being affected by the circumferences on the ground to increase the range of installation positions.
