<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for automatically switching a paper feeding means to continue image forming operation even when paper of the paper feeding means empties without complicating timing control to command switching of the paper feeding means, or control operation of the image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device is constituted so as to be provided with a priority order designation command output means for outputting a priority order designation command for designating priority order of the next paper feeding means to be switched when a desired paper feeding means empties before image forming operation is started, an emptiness detecting means for detecting an empty state of a plurality of paper feeding means, and a paper feeding control means for feeding the paper from a prescribed paper feeding means according to the priority order designated by the priority order designation command output means when the empty state of at least one paper feeding means is detected by the emptiness detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
