PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device in which a magnetic disk is attached to and detached from a hub and it is unnecessary to use a screw and an exclusive tool for attachment of the magnetic disk to the hub. SOLUTION: The hub has a hole part with a first fitting part and a placing part which places the magnetic disk and a clamper has an insertion part provided with a slit extending from its opening to the periphery, a second fitting part and a pressurizing part which pressurizes the magnetic disk. The first and second fitting parts are mutually fitted and the magnetic disk is fixed to the hub by placing the magnetic disk on the placing part of the hub and inserting the insertion part of the clamper into the hole part of the hub. At this time, since the insertion part has the slit, elastic deformation becomes easy and the attachment/detachment of a clamper to/from the hub becomes possible.
