PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner having a correction mechanism which corrects the curvature of a scanning line due to the warp of an optical element included in a scanning and image forming optical system with high accuracy and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In the optical scanner provided to the image forming apparatus or the like, the curvature of the scanning line is corrected by providing a scanning line curvature correction mechanism 19 in which at least a resin long lens L (optical element) constituting a second image forming optical system is pressurized in a subscanning direction and held.
