PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an updating history preparation apparatus capable of preferentially presenting a file storing a document important for a user out of various sorts of files in which updated documents are stored. SOLUTION: The updating history preparation apparatus is provided with a display order determination part 16 for acquiring the frequency of designer's accesses to files storing documents whose updating is detected by an updating state monitoring part 14 and the degree of influence imparted from the documents to designer's business respectively from an access frequency counting part 12 and an influence degree DB 13 and determining the display order of the files from the access frequency and the degree of influence.
