PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the various problems wherein the conventional external video recorder for the dubbing use needs a special constitution and, for the edition works, the VTR integrated with a camera cannot execute alone the edition works, and reproduced picture signals need to be copied to a take-up apparatus during the edition work. SOLUTION: A list of thumbnail images reproduced from a folder corresponding to the tape ID of a memory card 16 at their recording start positions is shown to determine the dubbing start point by selecting one thumbnail image of scenes to be dubbed, using an operating part 6. When the dubbing start point is determined, a point just before the next recording start position is automatically set as a dubbing end point in a central processing microcomputer 5. According to the dubbing order, the dubbing start and end points are set up. Then the heading between dubbing recording sections is made to start reproducing on a magnetic tape 11 from the dubbing start point and an external video recorder 21 starts the dubbing recording.
