摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate density unevenness in an end area of a film which is easily generated owing to film characteristics or characteristics of an image recording device. SOLUTION: When shading correction data are generated, a density measuring instrument 7 measures breadthwise density of an image formed on a film 1 by a development part 3 according to test data. The density measurement result is outputted to a control part 81. Then the control part 81 determines a density correction quantity based upon the density measurement result and generates the shading correction data based upon the determined density measurement result. At this time, settings are so made that correction units of density correction are different between a breadthwise end area and other areas of the film 1, and shading correction data whose density correction quantities are determined in set correction units are generated. Further, shading correction data which are so set that end areas by widths of the film 1 are different in density correction units from other areas are generated by the widths of the film based upon the density measurement result.
