PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding-type lawn mower capable of conducting both grass collecting and cutting and releasing works during grass-cutting activity. SOLUTION: The riding-type lawn mower is such as to have front and rear wheels and be mounted with a mower on the machine body. In this riding-type lawn mower, a cut grass collector is provided vertically turnably on the rear portion of the machine body and ensured to feed cut grass thereinto via a cylindrical chute. For the collector, the bottom plate is turned so as to enter it and served as a reflective surface to catch thrown cut grass, or the whole collector is turned upwardly to catch cut grass thrown rearward from the rear end of the chute on the bottom plate of the collector.
