PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ribbon cassette which enables anyone to replace an ink ribbon by easily mounting cores wound with an ink ribbon in a cassette case, and thereby reduces its running cost. SOLUTION: The cassette case 11 is constituted of: a lower case 32 formed by integrating first and second half-round parts 32a and 32b, and coupling members 14 coupling side ends of the half-round parts; a first upper case 33 attached to cover the first half-round part 32a; and a second upper case 34 attached to cover the second half-round part 32b. The ribbon cassette is provided with: a rotatable feeding core 40 provided in the first half-round part 32a and the first upper case 33; a rotatable winding core 42 provided in the second half-round part 32b and the second upper case 34; and the wide ink ribbon R wound around the feeding core 40 and the winding core 42.
