Use of 5-HT3 receptor antagonists for the treatment of inflammations of the respiratory tract

It has been found that compounds having 5-HT₃ (serotonin M) receptor antagonist activity can be used for (the manufacture of medicaments for) treating inflammations of the respiratory tract including the larynx, the trachea, or especially the bronchi and the lung, especially for treating obstructive pulmonary/bronchial diseases, or laryngospams (Spasmus glottides).
