<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that a wire harness of a daisy chain type in a connector can be manufactured, in which end-crimping and through-crimping coexist, while realizing the downsizing of the crimping device and the simplification of its structure. <P>SOLUTION: A guide 132 is made to move toward an electric wire 210 which is end crimped, so that the front end part of the guide 132 coincides with the crimping site of the electric wire to retain the electric wire temporarily, then to shear the electric wire by a cutting blade 132a and a common-use crimping punch 160, and the rear end part of the electric wire formed by shearing is crimped to a slot of the electric connector retained by a common-use crimping board 120, while as for the electric wire which is to be through-crimped, a chuck 140 is made to grip the electric wire that steps forward from the guide, and the guide is made to take refuge rearward than the position of end-crimping, then the electric wire is temporarily retained by the chuck and the rear of the common-use working position, and the common-use crimping board is lifted until the slot almost reaches the height of the electric wire where the slot is to be through-crimped, then the crimping site of this electric wire is crimped to the slot by the common-use crimping punch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
