PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein an internal reference signal is largely swung by erroneous phase data due to sudden phase fluctuation or a noise, regular data cannot be acquired and a horizontally pulled video image is displayed, in a circuit for correcting phase difference data between a synchronization signal to be inputted from the outside and an internal reference horizontal synchronization signal, in the display device to be used for the receiver of an on-vehicle television. SOLUTION: Approximation logarithmic processing is applied to the phase difference data obtained by a phase difference calculating circuit to suppress temporary fluctuation in data due to a noise. Thus, sudden erroneous phase data is suppressed even in the case of an unstable television video signal in a moving body such as a car. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
