PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase emission luminance and to shorten afterglow time in a green light-emitting phosphor used for a display device such as an FED (field emission display). SOLUTION: The green light-emitting phosphor for the display device comprises a manganese-activated zinc silicate phosphor and emits a green light through excitation by an electronic beam with an acceleration voltage of≤15 kV. The manganese-activated zinc silicate phosphor consists of particles having an average particle size of 1.0-2.0μm. A field-emission display device is equipped with a fluorescent film containing a blue light-emitting phosphor layer, a green light-emitting phosphor layer and a red light-emitting phosphor layer, an electron source for applying the electronic beam with an acceleration voltage of≤15 kV to the fluorescent film to induce the emission of light, and a package which seals the electron source and the fluorescent film in vacuum.
