PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition containing an s-triazine derivative having at least two specific p-aminobenzalmalonate groups and belonging to a new family in a cosmetically acceptable medium as a new sunscreening agent, by aiming at photoprotection of a keratin material, and to provide a skin composition. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is given by sythesyzing the new s-triazine derivative having at least two silanic para-aminobenzalmalonate groups and using the derivative therein. Further, a photoprotective composition which contains the s-triazine derivative having at least two grafted silanic p-aminobenzalmalonate groups is used as the sunscreening agent having activity in an ultraviolet wavelength range. The new s-triazine derivative is used as a photostabilizer for the cosmetic, glass, and a synthetic polymer including plastic, especially, for a spectacle lens and a contact lens.
