PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for an item wound in a ball shape comprising a container main body for keeping the item and a winding device for taking out a string and for storing the exposed part of the string after use. SOLUTION: This storage container for an item wound in a ball shape comprises a container main body (1) which has a hole A (2) for a string (6) to go through and stores an item (10) wound in a coreless ball shape to be pulled out from a center opening part and a container cover (3) which has a hole B (5) for the string (6) to go through and a winding part (4) for winding the part of the string excessively exposed from the hole A (2) of the main body (1) after use.
