PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce jam generated when pushing a chain guide of a derailleur in the direction of a wheel due to contact of an object with the derailleur. SOLUTION: This derailleur is provided with the chain guide 36 having inside guide plate 52 and outside guide plate 54, a guide pulley 58 and a tension pulley 56. The tension pulley 56 rotates with a rotary shaft between an inside free end of the inside guide plate 52 and an outside free end 64 of the outside guide plate 54 as a center. The tension pulley 56 has an annular groove 80 arranged with the rotary shaft as the center to form a projection part 82. The inside guide plate 52 has a guide part 78 provided with a radial direction outermost edge. The outermost edge of the guide part 78 is arranged within the annular groove 80. The projection part 82 is further projected more than the outermost edge of the guide part 78 in a shaft direction from a center surface of the tension pulley 56. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
