A lattice or tubular wind turbine mast with gondola and rotors comprises an axle about which it can be lowered to below the horizontal, a counter weight with fillable water tanks and a motorized cable, hydraulic or pneumatic lowering system with brake discs for controlling lowering and re-erection. An independent claim is also included for an underground reinforced concrete container for the turbine unit.
