Containers that are stacked on deck (14) of a container vessel are secured by lashing means that are fastened on ship on special devices, so-called lashing bridges (13). Known lashing bridges (13) are provided with massive upright supports (23) between two adjacent containers each. Said supports (23) substantially increase the weight of the container vessel, which is detrimental to its tonnage. According to the invention, a lashing bridge (13) is composed of oblique, tapering supports (23), whereby four supports (23) each form a tower (28). A lashing bridge (13) requires relatively few of said towers (28), thereby substantially reducing the weight of the inventive lashing bridge (13) as compared to known lashing bridges (13). An upper lashing plane of the lashing bridge (13) reaches at least up to the height of three containers stacked one on top of the other, the lashing being carried out in such a manner that the lashing angle does not exceed 50 DEG C. In this manner, the lashing forces can be favorably passed into the containers. |
