An objectifying section (106) reads out set information from a storage section (110) and refers to the set information along with time information (time of day information) indicated by an internal clock. The set information includes information concerning the place, the type of data, the format of data, and the like. Based on the set information and the time information, the objectifying section (106) generates object data from digital data indicative of the output results from a sensor. Since the object data has a general purpose meaning and becomes identifiable data, convenience of data being outputted from a sensor installed in a building, a facility, or the like, is enhanced thus presenting useful data to the user.
