<p>A connection unit for a data recording device, capable of easily connecting and disconnecting connection between a connector electrically connected to another device and connection terminals of the data recording device such as a hard disk. A connection unit (1) for a data recording device (5) connects the square thin data recording device (5) having connection terminals (5a) arranged on its one side surface (5e) to a connector (51) fixed to a base (10). A receiving section (31) is provided in the base (10), and the receiving section (31) receives the data recording device (5) and is movable in the direction toward the connector (51). When a pressing force toward the connector (51) is applied, the receiving section (31) holds both side surfaces (5b, 5c), present along the direction of movement of the receiving section (31), of the data recording device (5). The receiving section (31) then moves the data recording device (5) while positioning it relative to a fixing position of the connector (51) of the data recording device (5), connecting the connection terminals (5a) of the data recording device (5) to the connector (51).</p> |
