DRILL PIPE HEADER

A drill pipe header comprising a hollow cylindrical body adapted at each end to engage the end of a drill pipe and having a mud inlet port in the side wall of the body and a valve. In a first position the valve seals the inlet port and permits mud flow between the ends of the body and in a second position prevents mud flow between the ends of the body and permits mud flow from the inlet port to the lower end of the body.
