Bobbin diverting device for selectively accessing a train of bobbins in a bobbin conveying system at a spinning plant

A spinning assembly has a bobbin-handling station which selectively transfers selected bobbins from one point to another within an otherwise closed-circuit feed track (8). The bobbin transfer station unit is fixed to a support frame and can be moved from one point to another with respect to the feed track. The movement of bobbin transfer station is self-powered. When not in operation the bobbin transfer unit is parked in a starting/waiting position. Operation of the bobbin transfer unit is regulated by an electronic control unit. Empty bobbins are exchanged for full bobbins.
