Secondary para-phenylenediamine N-alkylamine ortho and/or metasubstituted derivatives (I) are new. Secondary para-phenylenediamine N-alkylamine ortho and/or metasubstituted derivatives of formula (I) are new. Either R1, R2H or alkyl; or R1,R2 + N : 5-6 saturated cyclic chain (optionally interrupted with at least one nitrogen atom and/or with at least one carbonyl group optionally substituted with at least one alkyl group); R : 2-10C alkylene (optionally interrupted with N or O optionally substituted with (monoalkyl)amino, dialkylamino, alkylcarbonyl, amido, alkoxycarbonyl, mono or dialkylaminocarbonyl; R' : alkyl, alkoxy alkyl, alkoxy, alkoxyalkyl, mono/polyhydroxyalkyl or Cl; and n : 1. (I) is not N-1-(2-diethylaminoethyl)- 2-methoxy-benzene-1,4-diamine; N-1-(3-diethylamino propyl)-3-methyl-benzene-1,4-diamine and N- 1 -(3 pyrrolidino-propyl)-3-methyl-benzene-1,4 diamine and (II) is not N-1(3-diethylaminopropyl)-3-methyl-4-nitro-1-aminobenzene et N-1-(3-pyrrolidino-propyl)3-methyl-4-nitro-1-aminobenzene.
