A removable sieve for a dry food dispenser (such as cereals 10, fig 2) comprises a barrier portion (1) having a plurality of holes (2) thereon, and configured so as to cover an inner surface of an associated dispenser, and a standoff means (6) so as to maintain a minimal distance between the barrier and an inner surface of the main compartment 9 of the dispenser. A sealed collection compartment (8) may also be provided so as to collect powder/debris which passes though the barrier. In use, the arrangement allows small particles (such as powder 11) to be separated from larger granules so that they are not delivered with the bulk of the food. Unwanted particles can then be discarded once the dispenser is empty, by removing the sieve portion via retaining rib(s) (7) and finger grip (5). |
