The process involves positioning a support point on a side of a tooth (3b) at a position (8). Two support points are positioned at positions (9, 10) of a side of a tooth (3b). Blocking points are positioned on lower side of a rim (13) at positions (15, 17). A blocking point is placed on the side of the tooth (3b) at one position. A cutting tool is activated for sharpening a section of a side (12) of the tooth (3a). An independent claim is also included for a mechanical device for repairing gear tooth of gear.
