Cephalosporin antibiotic compounds of formula (I), prodrugs thereof and pharmacologically acceptable salts of either, which are active against a wide spectrum of bacteria that are resistant to present clinical beta-lactam antibiotics are disclosed, wherein R1, R2 and n are as defined in the specification.
