The damper has parallel units (101, 103) provided in disc form, where each unit has a central opening, and connected with each other at their periphery by arms maintaining the units at a preset distance. The units have a thickness equal to a portion of a ball joint (14) projecting with respect to one side of a head (10) of a connecting rod. One of the units (101, 103) is compressed, when the connecting rod is inclined. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a process for mounting a damper on a connecting unit (B) a damping system for the connecting unit including connecting unit vibration damper.
