Method of bonding a water-activated adhesive sheet

A method of bonding an adhesive sheet (G) having a backing and a layer of water-activated adhesive coated on one side of the backing to the surface of an object (T). The method comprises pressing the adhesive sheet against the surface of the object with the water-activated adhesive layer in facing relation to the surface without moistening the water-activated adhesive, and simultaneously heating the adhesive sheet. The heating of the adhesive sheet is performed at a temperature of at least 100 degrees C for at least 0.3 seconds. The pressing of the adhesive sheet is performed under a pressure of at least 3.2kg/cm2.
