An audio signal reproducing apparatus comprises digital filters (DF0 to DFn, DF0s to DFns) to which an audio signal is supplied and a speaker array (10L) composed of arrayed speakers (SP0 to SPn). The outputs of the digital filters (DF0 to DFn) are supplied to the speakers (SP0 to SPn). The sound waves radiated from the speakers (SP0 to SPn) are reflected from wall surfaces and arrive at a sound field. Predetermined delay times are set for the digital filters (DF0 to DFn) so that a region where the sound pressure is higher than those in the region surrounding the sound field may be produced in the sound field. The outputs of the digital filters (DF0s to DFns) are supplied to the speakers (SP0 to SPn). Predetermined delay times are set for the digital filters (DF0s to DFns) so that the leakage sounds, out of the sounds produced from the outputs of the digital filters (DF0 to DFn) radiated from the speakers (SP0 to SPn) and directly arriving at the region where the sound pressure is high may be suppressed.
