PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detector that can report to a remote site, even when a commercial power supply is not supplied to the installation area of equipment whose temperature is to be detected and can also be operated, even if an external battery requiring maintenance is not installed. SOLUTION: The temperature detector comprises an actuator 4 made of a shape memory alloy which returns to a stored shape on the basis of the temperature of an object whose temperature is to be measured in a case 6; an elastic member 7d for returning the actuator 4 to the displacement shape; when the temperature of the object whose temperature is to be measured decreases to the shape-returning temperature of the actuator 4; a power plant 2 having a piezoelectric element 1; a blow mechanism 5 for blowing the piezoelectric element 1 for generating power, in linking with the returning operation from the displacement shape of the actuator 4 to the stored shape; and a transmitter 3 for transmission by generated power by the blow mechanism 5.
