METHOD FOR IMPROVED ANIMAL HUSBANDRY USING LINEARLY POLARIZED LIGHT AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING LINEARLY POLARIZED LIGHT

Method for improved animal husbandry during which animals are being reared in customary manner, wherein the animal to be reared or a part of its body is exposed to linearly polarized light of a given intensity for a given period of time at least in one phase of its lifetime which is critical in respect of rearing. In order to carry out the method a device for producing linearly polarized light containing a light source and a polarizing unit (4) placed in the path of the light emitted by the light source is suggested. The light source is comprising one or more fluorescent tubes or a number of LED devices (3).
