<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that realizes a high added value and sophistication. <P>SOLUTION: The display device comprises a pixel including a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel, and a first source driver for supplying a first video signal to the fist sub-pixel and a second source driver for supplying a second video signal to the second sub-pixel. The first sub-pixel has a first light-emitting element and the second sub-pixel has a second light-emitting element. The pixels are provided over one surface of a translucent substrate, and a first display region using the first sub-pixel over one surface of the substrate and a second display region using the second sub-pixel over the opposite surface the substrate are provided. The display device having the features described above has the display regions on the front and rear surfaces, respectively and realizes the sophistication and the high added value. The display device realizes a smaller size, a thinner shape, and a lighter weight compared with the case in which two panels are used to provide the display regions on each of one and the opposite sides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
